The Skies Come Alive Over Huntsville International Airport June 28-29
It has been five years since North Alabama has experienced the exhilaration of an Airshow! For two days, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, the skies over Huntsville International Airport will reflect a need for speed. Skilled pilots from all over the U.S. will perform thrilling aerobatic stunts; demonstrate razor-sharp aeronautical precision; press to the extreme the finer capabilities of man and aircraft; and execute breathtaking skydiving maneuvers. More than 100,000 spectators are expected to attend the 2-day event. The air show will coincide with Huntsville's Salute to the Military, Armed Forces Week, June 22-28.
Opening the aerial portion of the Airshow is the U.S. Army’s renowned
Parachute Team, the Golden Knights. Once applauded as a competitive team-sport, the Golden Knights skydiving versatility and precision today represents an elite group of highly skilled professional skydivers whose performances are favored at airshows worldwide.
