United to Initiate Non-stop Chicago Service
Huntsville International Airport recently announced United Airlines will offer two new daily roundtrip non-stop flights from Huntsville International Airport (HSV) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) beginning Sept 2. The flights will be operated on 50-seat regional jets.
"We are thrilled that United is expanding its service at Huntsville International Airport to include Chicago, which will compliment its existing daily service to Washington D.C. – Dulles and Denver,” said Mark McDaniel, Chairman, Board of Directors, Huntsville International Airport. “Chicago is one of our top 20 markets and a major business travel destination for the Tennessee Valley region, so this additional non-stop service will provide our passengers with more choices when traveling to the Windy City. O'Hare International Airport offers more connections to more cities, more often than any other airport in the world, and we fully anticipate
that our community will embrace the new service with open arms."
The proposed flight schedule between HSV and ORD will begin Sept. 2, 2009, and will be operated by United Express partner Mesa.
